Doing Standup Comedy at an open mic can be really scary if you’re not REALLY prepared. I took Standup Comedy class at UCSC and it taught me that the number one thing is to write a set beforehand and learn it. That might help out some.
If all else fails, fart really loudly and pretend like you didn’t notice anything. Then do it again. And again. Eventually, people will either be doubled over laughing or too disgusted to realize how unfunny you were.
If you can’t fart on command you’re kinda screwed, but I swear by this gimmick.
ur back! =)
man, I hope you really didn’t say that on stage (is this thing on)
Funny, but sad day. I have a friend who does stand-up at U of S. Alabama. She loves it and they love her, though. She says she just has to talk about campus activities.
The Joe is still alive!
YAY IT’S JOE X! Was your stand-up comedy thing recorded? Like, could we check it out somehow or are you just gonna leave us wondering… =P Anyway, wtg… you
I don’t think that you could be awful.
if it was really awful, like, really really awful, then that would have been funny. and everyone would have been laughing. then it wouldn’t have been awful.

Where do you have the TIME? How many things can you try / do at once?

Dear Friend or Associate, This is an open invitation that I am formulating to send to any-and-everyone that I have any type of electronic communication with. Recently Congress has come to address issues of “Net Neutrality” with what would likely be considered to be lack luster performance. I encourage you to get involved in the effort to sway the manners of privatization that most of congress and other body politics have come to embrace regarding this issue. Though I am not extraordinarily versed within the issue what I do know is as always welcome to be shared. Check out Mike’s Xanga (xanga.com/excalipoor) to get a link to a page with videos regarding this issue.
