Xanga Comic #52:  Because everybody has a Xanga.

Now that the IB projects are winding down to a close, and standardized testing starts up again, I think I might have a bit more free time to devote to comic art.  Now, don’t get your hopes too high—these are the only two I have waiting (that history presentation was really boring)—but I’ll see what I can do.

Heh, for a while I was worried about not getting enough material.  But within two days of Xanga, I’ve found at least four topics:  Myspace competition (it’s been going around my high school), Xangavangelism (based on a comment I received), chain comments (ugh, that’s my pet peeve) and Thefacebook (you know who you are ).  Plus, I have a few old topics that still work.  So, Xanga comics are coming back.  At least, I hope.

BTW, I’ll admit it:  I’m a comment whore.  But the more feedback I receive, the more I know people are appreciating my comics, so the more motivated I am to draw.  So, yeah.

Xanga Comic #51:  The great outdoors?

Not my best work, but it’s something nonetheless.  I’d like to think I’m getting back into the swing of things, but…we’ll see.

p.s.>  If any of you at Burnaby South Secondary School in Vancouver, B.C. went to the stupid band concert, I was the geek operating the projector.

edit>  Sorry, that came out wrong.  I go to school in Santa Rosa, California (north of SF), and our band played an exchange concert at Burnaby South about 3 weeks ago.  Sorry for the confusion…=)

I’m sorry.

I’ve kinda had a lot on my plate right now, between my job, and my girlfriend, and all those damn IB and AP tests that are coming up so soon.

I know you’ve been wanting new comics, and to be honest, I’ve been wanting them too.  But it’s just been too much.  I can’t promise anything…because I have, and it hasn’t worked out.  And I really can’t blame you if you unsubscribe and leave, and never come back.  I will come back, though.  I had a real blast doing comics, and I can’t wait to start again.

If you’re willing to wait for me, please leave me a comment.  Just so I know you’re out there.

You guys rock.  And I’m not just saying that…it’s true, I enjoy having people read my comics.

Xanga Comic #50:  Happy Valentine’s Day.

My art’s been better, but I thought up the story and *had* to do a quick comic on it.  Oh yeah, my computer’s working again…so now I can post Joe_X whenever I’m not working on homework, doing my job, swing dancing, or spending time with my girlfriend.  =)

And remember, you can always just click the link to put my comics on your site.  Now that I’m going to post more often, feel free to share any new comics you like!

Hey people!

I’m sorry I haven’t been updating.  Finals have been horrible, then my computer broke about a week ago, and my scanner along with it, so now I’m in the middle of Windows XP Reinstallation Hell.  I can’t really make any comics until then…I’m updating on my dad’s computer right now.

On the plus side, I have a few comics drawn so I can upload them as soon as my computer is up and running.  =)

Just wanted you to know…I sure haven’t forgotten about joe_x, and in the month (holy crap, it’s been a month!) that I’ve been unable to update, I’ve come up with some new ideas.

Much love goes out to the people who have been patiently awaiting my comics, and I hope to update soon!

Xanga Comic #49:  Christmas blogging.

Oh yeah.  I’m back.  =)  I’m experimenting with a new drawing style, so tell me what you think…it’s a little more freeform, but I don’t know if it’s more clear…so feedback please.

In other news, I’ve completed my UC applications, and completed my school’s yearbook cover, and bought all of the Christmas presents that I’m going to give, and everything like that.  So now I have time to do the stuff I love.  Like this.

Hey everybody.  I just wanted to apologize for not posting in a while…I’ve been off in the Land of College Applications.  I’m applying to UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, Sonoma State University, and Cal Poly…I hope I get into at least one of those four.  My two #1 choices are Berkeley and UCSD…any readers out there to help me decide?  I know at least one…(hi k5f!)

Would you guys like to see me repost some of my favorite comics in the meantime?  It’s not much, but at least it’s a little bit interesting…
