Xanga Comics #30: A *true* election. Any resemblance to the 2000 Presidential election is just a coincidence.
The series: This is the last one about blogrings for a while. I tried doing something different with the comics, and maybe it worked, maybe it didn’t. I’ll see how things go. For now, it’s going to be back to random topics for a while.
The layout: Like it? I’m trying to fix the colors. I liked gold ( ), but people said it looked kinda ugly, so I switched to blue-gray ( ), which was worse. So, now I’m trying red ( ). What do you think?
Edit: I’m thinking of trying out sky blue ( ) or light gray ( )…maybe that will work the best.
And finally, the schedule: This is the last week I’ll be releasing every other day…starting next Tuesday, it’s going to be Tuesdays and Fridays. I don’t know about the Sunday comics and whatnot. Thanks everyone. –jeff aka joe_x

Red and gold are normally more attractive, and catch the eye better, but your goal is for people to see your content, not your layout. I’d opt for blue-gray, as it’s less distracting.

Aah, changes. It’s weird to me at first. Think about how many people would feel weird if Google changes their interface or something.

i suggest gray… red is too bright. it takes away from how awesome your comics are.

grey is good, but boring, try using grey and something else FAST

also, with the colours, I think you should mix it up a bit. That is, if you can’t quite decide on one colour. Maybe with each update change the colour randomly. I personally like when individual xangas have a tad bit of variety.

jeff, because your comics are black and white, you don’t necessarily want colors that will take the attention away or distract your readers. colors such as red, gold/yellow are just way too loud.
try something muted – not a primary color. maybe an ashen blue or something.

i like the way it is now.
i think the gray one will eventually look best, only because it gives the comic a more professional air, sort of a “darker comedy”. With brighter more primary colors, it makes it more cheery, when really you want everyone’s attention to focus on your comic. oh well, what really matters in the end, is what you feel works…
