Hey everybody. I just wanted to apologize for not posting in a while…I’ve been off in the Land of College Applications. I’m applying to UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, Sonoma State University, and Cal Poly…I hope I get into at least one of those four. My two #1 choices are Berkeley and UCSD…any readers out there to help me decide? I know at least one…(hi k5f!)
Would you guys like to see me repost some of my favorite comics in the meantime? It’s not much, but at least it’s a little bit interesting…
Wish me luck, and I’ll post a comic as soon as I can!

I GO TO UCSD! i’m a freshman so let me give you the spin….UCSD is divided into 6 colleges, each with its own personality and history. its really good because you get to know your people very well. its so that you have a smaller community. I’m part of Revelle, the oldest and most academically rigorous of the 6 colleges. people tend to hate Revelle because they have a lot of requirements. when they ask you what college you want to be in, i high suggest John Muire College or Thurgood Marshall [although it really should depend on your major]. i really like UCSD. its a beautiful place. if you want to know more just IM me, email me, or leave me a comment.

If you live in Northern California, go for Berkeley. If you live in Southern California, go for UCSD. It’ll just make things so much easier. My hometown is in SoCal and I’m going to UCSC, and I hate it up in NorCal! I’m trying to transfer to UCSD, I want outta Santa Cruz!!

Um, you seemed a lot more enthusiastic about San Diego when I heard you talk about it, so I’d say, all things being equal, go to San Diego… I don’t know… I don’t really know all of your criteria.
And knowing you and all the crap you do in your life, it’s amazing you even keep up this website… the retrospective seems interesting enough, but then again, don’t you need like, five years of comics before you do a retrospective? I dunno… sure, do old comics, seems interesting enough.

I’m applying to Cal Poly & Sonoma State so good luck with that. I know for Cal Poly you pretty much had better be 3.6 or higher.. with 1200+ S.A.T.’s.. but miracles happen.. some guy at my school got in last year with a 2.8.
As for Berkley.. I’ve heard horror stories of 4.2 and so on and so forth. Pray you are in a good minority sector, and have good S.A.T.’s. UCSD isn’t as hard, it’s just getting uberly crowded, so I think it’s like 3.5 or higher to get in.
I’ve also applied to Long Beach (CSU) and Hayward (CSU.. not my choice).. so good luck! Them applications drove me nutz.. but I finished them in Mid-October!

Join UCSD! It’s the BEST SCHOOL, I swear. And if you get in, pick Muir…;P Has the least number of GE’s…10 minutes away from the beach…and is centered around campus. UCSD has that “small college feel” with a larger college…structures. Hey, good luck, wherever you decide to go! Luv the comics.

yay..go for ucb! lovely campus with vast diversity and it’s in the bay area, which is a wonderful place. but then again, i’m biased..i favor norcal and the bay area. san diego is a beautiful city with amazing beaches and very laid back.

chico is ranked second in the state for computer engineering… i didnt get into cal poly (#1) so i came here. it is definately the coolest place.

I don’t know anything about UCSD… but Berkely tries to impose diversity on you. UCD (university of Davis, CA) is a good school… but its more mathematical/science/agricultural stuff.. Good luck with college applications!!!

My older sister’s applying to some of the same universities you are. I’ve never been to UCSD, but I took summer courses at UC Berkeley, and the campus is really nice, plus it’s near a bunch of cool places in Berkeley. Good luck!

Interesting, my boyfriend lives in Santa Rosa- as do you? And I just finished my college app process as well… but if you want Engineering… freaking’ go to Berkeley (I didn’t apply)… that school is full of those people.
